Privacy Policy

Babies Tracker (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a baby- and twins-tracking app for logging feeds, diapers, supplements, weight and other daily care. This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is stored and shared, and the choices you have. We built the app for our own family first — we keep data collection to the minimum needed to run it, and we do not sell your data or use advertising or third-party analytics.
Who we are
Babies Tracker is operated by Waleed Qadi. For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].
Data we collect
You can use the app entirely offline with no account, in which case everything stays on your device only. If you choose to create an account (to sync between devices or share with a partner or caregiver), we collect and store the following:
- Account details: your email address, a display name you choose, and your password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are salted and hashed (PBKDF2) and cannot be read by us.
- Baby profiles: the name, emoji, birth date, colour and feeding-routine settings you enter for each baby.
- Care logs: the activity you record — feeds (breast, formula or pumped, amounts and times), diaper changes, supplements and care items, weight measurements, showers, doctor visits, and any notes you add.
- Sharing information: if you invite someone, the email address you invite; household membership and which babies each member may see; and any read-only share links you create.
- App preferences: your reminder and alarm settings.
We do not collect location, contacts, device identifiers for advertising, or usage-analytics profiles. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Information about your children
The app is intended for parents and caregivers (adults, 18+) to record information about their own infants and children. Any details about a child are entered by you and controlled by you. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and the app is not directed at children as users. You are responsible for the child information you choose to record and share.
How we use your data
- To store your logs and show them back to you across your devices.
- To share the babies and log types you explicitly choose with the members you invite or via read-only links you create.
- To send account and invitation emails (for example, an invite link to a caregiver you add).
- To schedule the feed reminders/alarms you turn on.
Feed reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no data is sent anywhere to deliver them.
Where your data is stored
On-device data is stored locally on your phone or tablet. If you have an account, your synced data is stored in our database (MongoDB) on a private server hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Sharing & third parties
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for advertising. Your data is only shared:
- With people you choose — household members you invite, and anyone who opens a read-only share link you create. Share links are unlisted (anyone with the link can view the babies and log types you selected) and you can revoke them at any time.
- With service providers we rely on to run the app: Amazon Web Services (server hosting) and Mailgun (sending account and invitation emails). They process data only to provide those services.
- If required by law — to comply with a valid legal obligation.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual logs, babies, share links and members inside the app at any time. When you delete your account, your account and its synced data are removed from our server (see below).
Deleting your account & data
To delete your account and all associated data: email [email protected] from the address on your account (or including your account email). We will delete your account and its synced logs from our server within 30 days and confirm by email.
You can also sign out at any time to keep your data on your device only, and remove individual babies or logs directly in the app.
Security
Passwords are salted and hashed, sessions use signed tokens, and all network traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Most of this you can do directly in the app; for anything else, contact us at [email protected] and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
